Zoox Website Privacy Policy

Effective: 09/25/2017

This is Zoox’s Website Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”). To Zoox (“we” or “us” or “our”), your privacy is of the utmost importance. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access this website.

Data We Collect and How We Use It

Presently, Zoox does not publicly offer any products or services, through its website or otherwise, so the information we collect from you is limited. The information we collect includes:

Personal Information. Personally identifiable information, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, and demographic information, such as your age, gender, hometown, and interests, that you voluntarily give to us when you choose to interact with our website and linked third-party websites, such as information you supply to apply for a job via Lever, which is linked from our website. If you do not want us to have such information, please do not provide it.

Derivative Information. Information our servers automatically collect when you access our website, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, your network, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the website.

We may use this information to: respond to an email or other inquiry or request; customize your experience at our website; compile anonymous statistical data and analysis for use internally or with third parties; increase the efficiency and operation of the website; monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the experience with our website; send updates or notices about Zoox that we think may be of interest to you; or perform other business activities as needed, such as for recruiting purposes.

At all times, Zoox reserves the right to disclose information where required by law or to comply with valid legal process (such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order), to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, to protect Zoox’s rights or property, including without limitation in the event of a transfer of control of the company or substantially all of its assets, or during emergencies when safety is at risk. We may also share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy.

Cookies & Computer-Related Information

We may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies on our website, for example to help us customize the website, to improve your experience, or to allow us to perform analytics provided by third-party analytics services, such as Google Analytics. You can learn about Google’s practices by going to www.google.com/policies/privacy/‌partners/, and exercise Google’s opt-out by downloading the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. In addition, we may also use third-party vendors, such as Google Analytics, to allow tracking technologies and remarketing services on the website through the use of first-party cookies and third-party cookies, to, among other things: analyze and track users’ use of the website; determine popularity of certain content; determine your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, your network, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the website; and better understand online activity. To the extent such information is collected and used, it is done in aggregate form. By accessing the website, you consent to the collection and use of your information by these third-party vendors. We do not transfer personal information to these third-party vendors.

Do Not Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. There is no final uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals. As a result, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.

Children’s Privacy

Zoox’s website is not intended for children. It is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we find out that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.

Data Integrity and Security

We have safeguards in place to keep the data you provide as secure as reasonably possible. In addition, only authorized employees are permitted to have access to information submitted via our website, and that access is limited to what is reasonably needed to perform an employee’s responsibilities, such as recruiting purposes or responding to an email. But no security measures are 100% secure and, thus, we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

Other Stuff

We reserve the right to make changes to this Website Privacy Policy from time to time and for any reason. You should check this Website Privacy Policy regularly to see if there have been any changes. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Revised” or “Effective” date of this Privacy Policy. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the website after the date the revised Privacy Policy is posted.

Other Internet sites you visit – including those linked from Zoox’s website, such as Lever – may have their own privacy policies or no policy at all. Other websites might use personal information differently than our policy permits. We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site before providing any personal information.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or do not want us to use your information as outlined in this Privacy Policy, please email wild@zoox.com.
